Storm Jib
The Storm Jib can also be used as a sail, set from masthead to the stern, to steady the boat when yawing heavily while at anchor in the wind and tide.
The features of the sail are:
- Heavy layered reinforcing at the head, tack and clew.
- Pre-stretched rope luff taken around head and tack with a webbed clew to absorb the high point loading.
- All seams are glued, triple stitched and sewn with
U.V. thread.
- Brass piston hanks with well reinforced attachment points and chafing protectors.
- Leather sheathing around the clew with pressed stainless steel ring for additional strength.
- Highly visible dayglo orange cloth is available if required.
