Stormsails
Stormsails have to be strong and reliable considering the conditions in which
they are used.
We
construct them from the best materials and finish them with traditional hand
methods to ensure that the sails can be relied upon under the most severe
conditions.
Storm Jib
The Storm Jib can also be used as a sail, set from masthead to the stern, to
steady the boat when yawing heavily while at anchor in the wind and tide.
The features of the sail are:
- Heavy layered reinforcing at the head, tack and clew.
- Pre-stretched rope luff taken around head and tack with a webbed clew to absorb the high point loading.
- All seams are glued, triple stitched and sewn with U.V. thread.
- Brass piston hanks with well reinforced attachment points and chafing protectors.
- Leather sheathing around the clew with pressed stainless steel ring for additional strength.
- Highly visible dayglo orange cloth is available if required.
The
Arun Trysail
A sail for ultimate conditions.
We believe we are one of the few sail makers who make this sail correctly. We fit a rope all the way round the luff, leech and foot of the sail.
The features of the sail are:
- Heavy layered reinforcing at the head, tack and clew.
- Pre-stretched rope is fitted all the way round the luff, leech and foot.
- All seams are glued, triple stitched and sewn in U.V. thread.
- Leather sheathing around the head, tack and clew with pressed steel rings for additional strength.
- Highly visible dayglo orange cloth is available.
