Valet and Repair Service
 

Arun Sails and Rockall Sails offer a comprehensive sail wash and repair service that includes nationwide collection and delivery if required.
 
Collection from our local marinas is free and part of the service.

Sails are laundered using specialist equipment and cleansers to remove salt, grime, mud and most other stains before being hung up to dry in warm air. 

Once dry they are spread out on the loft floor to be checked over thoroughly in respect of seams, battens pockets, rings, hanks, headboards and repairs carried out.
 

Naturally we advise you of any major items that may need attention. Sails are then folded and packed away and stored free until required by you.

Repairs and alterations
  • Would you like to convert your mainsail to fully battened?
  • Is your U. V. strip in need replacement? 
  • Are your dodgers a little frayed round the edges? 
  • Can you still see out of your sprayhood windows or have they gone foggy? 
  • Do you need a third reef in the mainsail? 
  • Single line reefing? - inside or outside the boom.
  • Thinking of changing from boom roller reefing to slab reefing? 
  • Are you changing from hanked to roller headsails and need a luff modification? 
  • Does your cover still cover or does it need a patch or two? 
  • Lazy Jack system to make handling the mainsail easier?
  • Customize your dodgers, boom cover and stackpack with your boat name?

All of these things can be undertaken at our Bosham workshop.
